Summer in the mountains is great, the fresh air of the Krkonoše nature, plus a cable car ride up and down for every night spent at the hotel.
Spring, summer or autumn in the mountains
Vacation for Špindlerův Mlýn in the off-season (spring, summer, autumn) it offers a variety of activities for the whole family or an escape from the big city to fresh air for beautiful Krkonoše hiking.
In July and August, when there is also an animation program at the hotel (5 times a week), entertainment at the hotel is taken care of.
Walking
In the vicinity of Špindlerův Mlýn, there are up to 180 km of marked hiking trails, which are suitably complemented by the city's undemanding "Mlynářovy okruhy" routes starting from the city center or the fun and informative routes of the Špindlerův Mlýn Ski Area.
These start at the upper stations of the cable cars "Medvědín (1235 m)" and "St.Petr (1182 m)" with pleasant, generously designed children's playgrounds and hiking with puzzles and supplementary games. The hike to Sněžka (1,603 m), the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, from Špindlerův Mlýn is one of the longest, but certainly one of the most interesting in terms of its goal. The most common hike is to Prameni Elbe.
Cycling
In recent years, cycling tourism in the Giant Mountains has begun to develop intensively. Hundreds of kilometers of comfortable routes in the Krkonoše Mountains (you can also use cycle buses) or mountain routes for physically fit individuals in the upper parts of the Krkonoše Mountains with unforgettable scenery.
For cycling "naturists" and downhillers, a diverse selection of MTB routes is available from November to September in the ski area of Sv. Petr and now also the "Pumptrack" in the lower station of the cable car, for dexterity training. We are also happy to lend you a bike or store it for free.
Medvědín and Pláně cable cars
The almost year-round operation of the cable cars ensures life in the Špindlerův Mlýn resort and makes stays more attractive for those less fit tourists or families with children who also want to enjoy views of the Krkonoše panoramas. The lettering playground at Medvědina with a large inscription MEDVEDIN and a children's playground in the upper station of the cable car is unique and your children will certainly not be bored there. For each night spent at the hotel, Harmony Hotel guests have one cable car ride up and down between May and October included in the price of accommodation.
Cable cars allow the transport of strollers, dogs and even bicycles (cable car on Plána), from the top station of Medvědina you can try paragliding or go on a hiking trip.
In the lower station of the Pláně cable car, you will find 1 tennis court in the summer season, where you can play volleyball or netball. At the top station of Medvědín, you can rent off-road scooters (for 300 CZK) and try riding downhill differently than on skis.
Elbe Dam
Elbe Dam - technical monument Špindlerův Mlýn - the first dam on the Elbe River. You can get to it from the city center by a tourist route, so you definitely don't have to walk on the road. You can also conveniently park for a short time at the dam. When visiting the dam, children can try bridging or rappelling, which is operated by the Yellow Point company and costs about 290 CZK per person.
You can also swim in the dam, but the truth is - only for the hardier among you. You can also fish at the dam: Špindlerův Mlýn Forest Service - Mr. Pavlík, tel. +420 603 900 792, 723 618 566. The price of a one-day permit is CZK 400.
Adrenaline activities
You can find plenty of adrenaline-pumping activities in Špindel: rope Adventure Park - jump from a giant swing, a large trampoline, you can find Jacob's Ladder on the way from the city center towards Medvědín, you can rent all-terrain scooters or quad bikes.
But what you must not miss is the bobsled track and the Monkey park, which is right next to the hotel.
In addition, hotel guests have the option of purchasing a season ticket for the bobsled track directly at the hotel reception, with 20% discount.
